Synopsis
The further adventures of Texas propane salesman Hank Hill and his family and friends. This hilarious animated comedy series from Mike Judge, the creator of BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD, stars Judge himself as the voice of Hank Hill, the well-intentioned but misguided patriarch of the Hill family. A propane salesman by trade, he and his wife, Peggy, their son Bobby, and adopted niece Luann live in the fictitious Arlen, TX. There, Hank enjoys drinking beer with his friends, and tries to set a good example for his son as to what constitutes a ‘real man’. Peggy is the voice of reason in his life, while the barely intelligible Boomhauer, the paranoid Dale, and ex-military barber Bill, often wind up leading him astray. This season features Dale's foray into becoming a bounty hunter, a faux wedding between Bobby and Luann, Bobby proving to be an unmanly hunter on a deer hunting trip, and Peggy confounding people with her magic tricks. Guest appearances by Matthew McConaughey, Dwight Yoakam, Billy Bob Thornton, Pauly Shore, and Mary Tyler Moore.

From The Studio
King Of The Hill is another animation hit from Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge, who also voices the starring character Hank Hill, a propane gas salesman in the fictional town Arlen, Texas. Hank is often besieged by the idiosyncrasies of society, but he finds (some) serenity in his home-life with his wife, substitute Spanish teacher Peggy, his awkward son Bobby and his live-in niece-in-law Luanne Platter. Adding flavour to the ordinary dish the series serves are Hank's friends, divorcee military barber Bill Dauterive, paranoid Dale Gribble (with an obsession with Government conspiracy theories) and the gibberish spouting Boomhauer.
only 3 stars you must be crazy?!!?!?

I do agree with the other reviewer with the lack of extra features. (dvd box set one has those) however, you cannot take away the fact that King of the Hill has to be one of the greatest cartoon box sets of the last few years. You may not be getting the Great 'Simpsons' series three storylines (my faves)but the sweet nature of its story lines and the wise cracks from the supporting charaters (especially Dale)make this just as wothy as the previous and following series. If you are a fan then 'dang it' buy them all, you can't go wrong!
