The team travel to America and are glad they did
Review date: 2006-09-30 Rating: 8 out of 10
Those fans of Most Haunted who have followed the series over the years will be familiar with what the team do. They go into a haunted building and ask if "anyone is there" and then they hear a bang or bump from somewhere. Well, there is more, much more, of that here and to be honest we have heard it all before. The team try white-noise experiments but what we hear is ...... nothing. There are too few memorable moments on this 4-disc set but what there are stand out as some of the best ever.
The team travel to The Black Bull Inn in Haworth, West Yorkshire. During a late-night seance they believe they encounter the sprit of the Revt Patrick Bronte - the father of the famous Bronte sisters. He is not happy with the foul-language some of the team use during the seance and gives them the most extreme example of table-tipping they have ever experienced.
The Queen Mary is supposed to be the most haunted ship in the world. The team travel to California and spend three weeks investigating its decks. Historian, Richard Felix spends the night in B340 and the room is filmed while he sleeps. What is recorded is some of the most astounding auditory phenomena ever.
While the team walk around F-decks swimming-pool sound-man John Gilbert believes he sees a woman close to the diving board. Later on the team find wet footprints leaving the pool even though the pool is dry and no one was there. The team openly state it is amongst the most amazing phenomena they have ever witnessed.
Medium David Wells offers a second opinion to Derek Acorahs and is his eventual replacement when Derek leaves the series.
Although not as dramatic as MH 5.2 this boxed set does offer some compelling viewing for fans of the series.
