Review date: 2007-10-06 Rating: 10 out of 10
This excellent 2-disc set contains all ten episodes from the sixth series of Hancock's Half Hour, first broadcast between March and May 1960.
These episodes are:
1. The Cold
2. The Missing Page
3. The Emigrant
4. The Reunion Party
5. Sid In Love
6. The Babysitters
7. The Ladies Man
8. The Photographer
9. The East Cheam Centenary
10. The Poison Pen Letters
Several of these (such as "The Missing Page" and "The Photographer") are well-known, but there are some lesser-known gems here too, including "The Babysitters", "The Reunion" and "The East Cheam Centenary".
All in all, great stuff - a comic genius on top form.

High jinks down the Cuttings...Review date: 2006-12-06 Rating: 10 out of 10This DVD set contains some of the very best Hancock episodes: "Sid in Love", "The Reunion Party", "The Babysitters", "The Ladies Man" and the legendary "The Missing Page". Hancock was at his best with sparring partner Sid James and their on-screen love/hate relationship is best portrayed in "Sid in Love" where Hancock tries to help a love-sick and bashful Sid get off with the clippy of his dreams. Unfortunately, it all backfires on Hancock who gets a black eye for his troubles. In "The Reunion Party" Sid and Hancock vie with one another with fantastic tales of their wartime exploits. Great support from Hugh Lloyd, Johnny Vyvian and company.
Hancock's Last Half HoursReview date: 2006-08-15 Rating: 10 out of 10This was to be the last appearance of Hancock with Sid James - and must be valued as such. This 2 disc set contains 10 episodes, 2 of which, I consider to be the best ever written by Galton & Simpson. Firstly, The Missing page: In which the Lad himself toddles off to the library in search of a book entitled 'Lady Don't Fall Backwards'. Problems arise when the last page (revealing whodunit) is found to be absent...."maybe someone lit a fag with it" intones Sid. Secondly, The Reunion Party: Hancock arranges a get together for his old army pals....but times change and so do people. I particularly like the opening scene in the off-licence where Hancock returns his empties. If you only intend to buy one Hancock DVD - make it this one.
