This is variably acted pretentious tosh. I know Poliakoff has won countess awards but this one is a real turkey.
As her fans will know, this is the one where Anna Friel, anxious to be taken seriously as an actress rather thna just another ex-soap star, took all her clothes off in the name of art. Several times in fact, probably destroying her chances of ever being a major movie star in the process.
Enjoy those scenes, there's precious little else worth watching.

The "Poor Excuse To Get Fresh New Anna Nude" Tribe

There is only one reason to buy this movie...Anna Friel is fresh out of Brookside, dying to get a break in movies.. so someone writes a story where she has to get her kit off - not just topless - totally nude - and she falls for it.
She wonders why her movie career has not took off. She will never be a famous top star - she will always be B movie now. All her movies are the same - nudity in nearly all of them.
What a shame. She could have made it if she would have kept her kit on and waited for a decent script and a movie with a decent title (The Tribe, The War Bride, Me Without You, Watermelon - oh give me a break Anna!!!)
2 stars for Anna's nudity. Story - a big zero stars! Don't even know what it was about!
Oh and what happened to the naked mirror dance - edited out I guess.
MY RATING: Watchable, some parts more than others. LOL
