A beautiful journey and scenery, spoilt by jerky camera movements, poor editing, and digitising of the filming. Would make anyone dizzy if watched in one go. Not recommended.

The Aerial Britain "The Coast to Coast Walk" DVD I considered to be poor value for money as the route is roughly followed in reverse (east to west),the helecopter circles landmarks at high speed and the camera is also tilted from horizontal to vertical downwards which made me dizzy watching it, the helecopter also flys off route to look at other lake district interests like Dewentwater (nothing to do with C2C?). The narrator has a north east accent which is sometimes difficult to understand. Beckmann publishing did not reply to my E mail of complaint.
C2C Repackaged and the wrong way round

Okay, so this is a decent souvenir for anyone having done Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk. The problem is though that it insists on going from East to West (i.e. the opposite to Wainwright's intended direction). The other issue is that this might look on the surface to be a brand new fly-over. It is not. This is a re-packaged DVD version of the original video run by C2C Productions and as such looks dated both in quality of production and in content/narration. The saving grace is that for months I tried to get the hold of the video fly-over as there was nothing else out there - now for a reasonable price I do have it and on DVD. About time someone brought out a new version though. The West Highland Way DVD is also a re-run as I suspect too are the others in the series - if you are after the Pennine Way fly-over - much better to get a hold of the free issue by Country Walking magazine distributed in 2005 - bang up to date, crisp and modern.
