I didn't know much about Jimmy Carr until I watched this DVD . I know people say he is never off our screens but maybe they just watch too much TV . I found him to be hilarious , he has this amazing ability to make you laugh and cringe at the same time . Watch this and make your own mind up. I do think he is a very clever comedian and if you like the standard fair then stay away but if you want something different take a look

I love reading reviews that mock the intelligence of a comedian and his fans when they are written in poor English that features misspelling and the erroneous use of big words. The irony appears to be lost on them, much like the comic genius of Jimmy Carr; himself a gifted, quick-witted stand up who is unafraid, in these PC times, to mercilessly satirize every aspect of modern life and every facet of society in equal measure, including himself - hardly `a smug' personality trait. It is a sad state of affairs when people cannot find the humility to laugh at themselves and recognize a man who does more to break down social barriers than so-called `community leaders'. Brilliant.

Sarcastic, smug and annoying. Maybe he wants people to hate him? Maybe thats the comedy? I just don't get it.

Jimmy Carr's hilarious stand up shows are comedy genius. His wittiness and quick mind make his banter with the audience unbearably funny. A great show. one of the funniest people around !!

Jimmy carr's comic style is based on sarcasm and not much else,but apparently he is never off our screens.Every pub has a jimmy carr stood upright at a bar throwing out one liners to his buddies.Carrs audience consist of post graduate media and haircutting A+ diploma students 20 something types.I sat and watched this dvd and realised that the audience(including carrs regular tv audience) have been given a banal performance and happily excepted it.Is it me, but when did banality become the norm in comedy.The ability to standup on stage and talk is not enough,you would think,but for some it clearly is.Give it ago yourself,be sarcastic for a week and develope it as "comic" material,book yourself in to a comedy club.You may end up on the same bill as carr himself.here is a list of comdians who are funny
they include=Billy Connolly,Lee Evens,Bernard Manning,Bill Hicks
Chris Rock,Jackie Mason,Eddie Izarrd,Harry Hill,Jack Dee,Johnny Vegas,Bob Hope,George Carlin,Joan Rivers,Bob Monkhouse and Doug Stanhope to mention only a random few. ."Nurse!!! my brain hurts...can you put on that Jimmy Carr dvd for me,NO, NOT THE BILL HICKS ONE,i have to think and when i think it hurts,yeah that one with the sticker of a pony on the cover,ta nurse,can i have my medication now please.......
