Arrested Development...same old stuff.
Review date: 2007-01-02 Rating: 6 out of 10
Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of Arrested Development. Season 1 was outstanding, then along came Season 2, which I feel topped Season 1 by miles, however, Season 3 was released and well...well I didn't really enjoy it all that much. Same old gags, similar character interaction. Buster/Luciel, George Michael/Maybe, Buster/GOB ect.
Not only that, but the season is only 13 episodes long, compared to all 22 on the other two seasons, this DVD was a let down. I feel it could have been alot better.

The other reviewer is wrong. Don't listen to him, listen to meReview date: 2006-10-24 Rating: 10 out of 10Ok, I'm not completely dismissing the other reviewer's point. He is partly correct, their were many gay and retard jokes, but they all remained hilarious. And even if you don't like that, does it warrant the series 1 star?
I haven't seen the last 5 episodes yet as I am currently watching it as it appears on Sunday nights on BBC2 (he says so subtly trying to raise awareness), but as with both the other series once you get into the series it becomes so absorbing and all the little in-jokes for the fans (of which there are loads in this series) are so rewarding. Nothing on TV, apart from Father Ted and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, has ever entertained me as much and I doubt anything will, and out of those three I still think it is probably the best.
If you haven't watched any of the other two series you will struggle to enjoy this, and one argument that you could put against this is that it is a tad farfetched, but so was series 2 to an extent. If you enjoyed the last two series you are in for a real treat. In my opinion the show has improved every season, and (as there are no more currently planned) has hit it's peak just at the right time. It will be sorely missed.Continuing excellence; utterly humaneReview date: 2006-10-24 Rating: 10 out of 10First of all, I would like to point out that Tobias is not made fun of because he is gay, he is made fun of because he is in the closet and so oblivious. Moreover the show is constantly making polymorphously perverse inuendo in every direction and about every character. This is very human but more importantly very funny. And this is only one dimension of Arrested Development's comedy.
Funny Funny Funny and humane.IncredibleReview date: 2006-10-22 Rating: 10 out of 10Arrested development is an amazing show, and season 3 hits a home run once again. It's a huge shame that the show was canceled, it was still just as inovative, witty and amazingly entertaining as the first season, and when it ended it was a huge loss to comedy. The jokes about gay people and people with learning difficulties are never aimed at the minority group, but at the Bluth family's complete and utter surreal stupidity in regards to them, there's no pointed fun made at their expense. Really, an amazing show made to an extreamly high quality and with a love that shows. Fox never appriciated it but it's worth every penny. When it's out in region 2, you should all go and buy it! FOR BRITISH EYES ONLYReview date: 2006-10-21 Rating: 10 out of 10This is the best comedy to come out of the US in years, it literally had me on the floor with laughter, its that good. My favorate episode is For British Eyes only, perhaps a spoof of the early Bonds, but it it very very funny. The fact that this show was cancelled shows how stupid TV excutives can be and It makes me think that if this show was made in England it would still be going stong. I advice all to buy these Dvds, so maybe there may be a revival like Family Guy and Futurama (which I hear is making a return). This is a brilliant show, and they should be watched again and again!
