Well what can we say? Here we have a very welcome widescreen version of the original 1957 movie "Hercules" with Steve Reeves together with an appalling Mark Forest effort entitled "Mole Men against the son of Hercules".
"Hercules" was the first starring role for Steve Reeves made in Italy and although dubbed, was a major commercial success when first released in 1959.
There are many pan and scan versions of this movie available, but this is by far the best, although curiously the voice used to dub Steve Reeves changes halfway through the film.
"Mole Men against the son of Hercules" is a bizarre mix of shoddy acting,
poor direction and badly staged fight scenes.
This movie is presented in pan and scan and the print is so badly washed out it looks like it was shot in sepia tone.
So there you have it,one good classic movie and one movie so bad that you will probably never be able to watch to the end.
Buy this for the best version of "Hercules",but forget the other film.
