Once you have seen this brilliant cast acting the various characters with inspired insight you will re-read the books with them in your head forever, and even the terrific BBC series is made to look pale and tame by comparison. The music and photography is terrific. Why have they not done a follow-up? Why has this DVD cut some of the hilarious scenes which were present in the television broadcast? This is sheer pleasure which is not fattening or immoral.
