Amazon.co.uk Review
Transporter 2 knows what its audience wants and--like its title character--it delivers. This is a movie that has not only a fight choreographer but also a car stunt choreographer; a movie in which a female assassin wears nothing but a bra and panties because, presumably, additional clothing would be too cumbersome; a movie in which crashing through a concrete wall in order to leap over a four-lane street will not even rumple the hood of the hero's car; a movie in which a drunken supermodel, after her advances are chastely and gently rebuffed by the hero, says "Thanks for the respect--that's what I needed most"; a movie, in short, for those who liked the first Transporter but found it too subdued and character-driven. Jason Statham (The Italian Job remake) reprises his role as Frank Martin, a perhaps overly diligent chauffer who will break bones if his duty is impeded. The sheer glee with which Transporter 2 casts aside logic, probability, and the laws of physics is infectious. If the sequence in which Frank flips his car upside-down in order to detach the bomb attached to his undercarriage doesn't reduce you to intoxicated giggles, well...you're watching the wrong movie. Transporter 2 is utterly shameless, unstoppably ridiculous, and completely enjoyable. Also featuring Amber Valetta (Hitch), Jason Flemyng (Snatch), and Matthew Modine. --Bret Fetzer

not as entertaining as the first transporter movie
Review date: 2008-08-26 Rating: 4 out of 10
Transporter 2 is not as entertaining as the first transporter film.It has lots of stunts but they tend to be over the top and highly unbelievable ( similar to the stunts in die hard 4)and the storyline isn't as interesting as the storyline in the first film, nor are the characters. The humour in transporter 2 isn't as effective either.

A bit of a let downReview date: 2008-08-05 Rating: 6 out of 10This is not quite as nice (score and cinematography-wise) as the first one due to an unwise move to Miami and a half-Man-On-Fire kidnap plot, but Jason Statham's on top form as is French Frank Miller or whatever his name is. Shame about the wholly unattractive size-zero assassin with the big mouth and bad eyeliner. Typical Luc Besson casting and very, very off putting. She may have been the worst thing about the first film, but at least Shu Qi was cute...Stupid and awful but still kinda fun...Review date: 2008-06-26 Rating: 4 out of 10I thought The Transporter was an ok film, over the top but entertaining. When I saw Transporter 2 I thought it would be on the same lines as the first film, with regards to the type of stunts and action, but oh no!
The first parts of T2 is actually good, and I was thinking this could be better then the first. But it then became apparent that the the makers had been watching the Matrix too much. There's a whole load of cgi here, and it's laughable the things that happen. The film lost it when with moments to go before a bomb is about to explode on the bottom of The Transporters car, there just happens to be a ramp for the car to do a 360, and just happens to catch a hook from a crane that is hanging at the perfect height for it to brush along the bottom of the car, knocking the bomb off as it explodes. The car lands perfectly and off he goes. Plus, there's other crazy moments as implausible as this through out the film. It's as if the film makers were thinking this is fine and everyone will but into this.
The acting is really bad throughout, and choice of casting bad too. The French Policeman from the first film is now buddies with The Transporter, and is cooking in his home while on holiday in Miami, in his socks and sandals. His part is hilarious and just adds to the whole awfulness of it all. The blonde with attitude and guns is cool though, and you get to see a lot of her near the end of the film. You will see what I mean.
There are many fight scenes and shoot outs, and this is the fun element. There is a plot here, but of course the action takes over, and when the film nears the end, it all works it's self out fast and conveniently with out actually showing you much detail. We get the scene that shows we will get a 3rd film. That's coming out end of this year 08.
If you just want a laugh at a film that is way ott with plenty of shooting, fighting and cars, then this is perfect. I just needed a bit more realism than this. CGI is evil.
There's a very short making off, quite a few cut scenes and bloopers. Not great, but well worth seeingReview date: 2008-06-20 Rating: 6 out of 10This is slightly less good than the first, but still great fun. Again, bears little resemblance to the Edith Wharton novel it was based on, and all the better for it. Oh dear.Review date: 2008-04-03 Rating: 2 out of 10I'll not elaborate. Suffice to say this is unquestionably one of the worst movies ever made.
Of course it's preposterous, it's an action movie, but this has to be seen to be believed.
Acting? Beyond terrible. Dialogue? Appalling. Direction? Hackneyed beyond belief.
This is up there with Showgirls and Boxing Helena. Yes really.
