This is short and .... eh well, its short anyway. How can anyone fault Red Dwarf. From the first 2 mins to the last episode, its a master piece of comedy.

A truly excellent seriesReview date: 2008-01-20 Rating: 10 out of 10Some situation comedies live or die by their inventiveness ... and Red Dwarf is certainly one such.
The problem with many is that the inventiveness "fails" as one series becomes two, then three, then five, etc. With Red Dwarf this simply doesn't happen. I have got eight series of this sitcom on DVD (and this review applies to, and will be submitted on, all eight) and the eigth is every bit as superb as the first.
I unhesitatingly recommend Red Dwarf to all.Finding its feet againReview date: 2007-11-14 Rating: 8 out of 10 Unlike my other ratings of Red Dwarf only series VII and VIII go below 5 stars. 3 for VII and 4 for VIII. Series VIII itself isnt too bad however Red Dwarf was not the same. For a starters the writers revived the crew of Red Dwarf. This changed the scenario completely and can sometimes feel like your watching a Spinoff series entitled Red Dwarf - The Prison years. The episodes are on the mend for example Krytie TV is a right corker and has me laugh everytime I see it. However some mistakes were made in my opinion by doing such things as stretching out the first story into three episodes. Far too long and what starts as a great return to Red Dwarf in the first episode gradually starts to decline from the second series onwards. The return of Chris Barrie is paramount. He should never have left and Series VII really lost something when he left. I still think this Series is great and I am sure that when the movie is made and/or Series IX is made they producers /directors and everyone will have learned from their mistakes.OKishReview date: 2007-09-09 Rating: 4 out of 10Has some good moments ruined by one of the worst and most obtrusive laughter tracks this side of pluto.Back in the red. Review date: 2007-08-22 Rating: 8 out of 10Season 2-6 of red dwarf are compleate classics. Season 7 ad 8 despite being funny didn't live up to them. Yet people rate thease series low as they are almost "spoilt" by the hilarois comedy there used to. Despite not living up to previos season enjoy it for what it is. A good comedy that makes you laugh.
