Please buy this - you won't be disappointed! This is the first series when Malcolm & Brenda first get together. Keep an evening free and just watch it from start to finish.
The most under-rated sit-com ever. Everything about it was perfect. The writing was superb (the late, and much missed, Jim Hitchmough). It wasn't all just one-liners and put-downs. How many sit-coms have made you cry (and not because of the bad script!)Watching Brenda watching Malcolm marry Lucinda was TV at its best. The cast were equally as good as the scripts - Paul Bown, Emma Wray, Liza Tarbuck, Noreen Kershaw, Patsy Byrne etc. No one person was the star of the show - it was a real ensemble. Good use was also made of location shoots. And it didn't have an annoying and repetitive catchphrase!
I'm desperate for the rest of the series to be released. Can't wait for March!

I LOVED this series when it was on TV and have been searching for this for ever on DVD.
I bought this (thank goodness for PAL DVD players in North Amercia)and have done nothing for the past 2 days other than watch this DVD after work!
It is still so very very funny. I'd forgotten how truly witty and full of one liners and double entendres there were in the show.
So very much English humour and still one of my favourites that has stood the test of time.
As a bonus there is always the 80's styles to laugh at and remember that I looked like that !

THis was an excellent DVD. I loved the series when it originally came out, so was pleased when it came out on DVD. But need to have the other series done now, to complete it. Excellent comedy!!
Watching - 20 years still wonderful and funny

It was with utter joy that I watched "Watching", the first time I have seen it since it was first broadcast 20 years ago. For 200 minutes I had a smile on my face, very often laughing out loud. The characters were wonderful, the actors perfectly chosen and the dialogue funny. The desperately pretty Emma Wray gives a totally convincing and energetic perfomance. It is a classic and it is a must the other series are released on dvd. Watch "Watching" you will not be disappointed.
