Amazon.co.uk Review
Has Hollywood produced many more rounded, enjoyable trilogies such as this? We think not, and it’s real testament to the quality of the Back To The Future trilogy that it all holds up so spectacularly well over twenty years since the first film appeared. The films, as you probably know, following the time-travelling antics of Marty McFly, played by Michael J Fox, and Dr Emmett Brown, brought wonderfully to life by Christopher Lloyd. Across the three films, Marty and the Doc head back to the old west, meet Marty’s kids in the future, nearly ruin the meeting between his parents in the past, and all the while deal with the unwelcome interference of Biff Tannen and his family tree.
Bluntly, for sheer excitement, these movies are hard to beat. Mixing in tightly woven scripts with good effects, lively direction and an endearing set of performances from a superbly-chosen cast, the whole trilogy is just tremendously good fun. Fox and Lloyd must take a good chunk of credit for that, as their on-screen partnership is in many ways the glue that sticks everything so firmly in place, but conversely, it feels odd singling them out when so much else has gone right.
A worthy addition to any DVD collection, the Back To The Future Trilogy is what can happen when Hollywood really works. From the carefully layered screenplays through to the proliferation of standout moments, you can only hope that the occasional rumours of a fourth instalment continue to prove false. After all, how can the filmmakers possibly match their achievements with these three?--Simon Brew

I wont say much about the movies, everyone knows what they are about anyway. What I would like to say is -
The framing in this DVD version is CORRECT.
It has a DTS soundtrack.
Picture quality is the best ever seen.

Works every timeReview date: 2008-03-21 Rating: 10 out of 10Every time I go back to Back To The Future, I know it'll be as enjoyable as the last time. The film just works on every level, from the perfect cast to the zig zag script.
The first is the best, the second is not quite there and the third film is the weakest of the trio but they are all still very entertaining and look down on just about any rival. If you see other teen films from the 1980s they are quite embarrassing now. The Breakfast Club, War Games, St Elmo's Fire, Pretty In Pink and so many others which I can't recall the names of! Very few are as good to watch, and they're all victims of their time. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is still very watchable but that's about all.
I wish they would release these films with proper extras like a directors and actors commentary over all three! The one thing about the trilogy which is almost worth losing a star for is the way the extras get less and less with each film. I read that the picture is still not in the right ratio so if that's wrong then I expect we'll see another re-re-release one day! I've already bought this twice over the last few years. But those aren't important enough to spoil what are three well made, well written and well acted films. No collection is really complete without these!Awesome!Review date: 2008-01-16 Rating: 10 out of 10This trilogy is defo worth the money! One of my best buys...a legendy film! Watch these over...and over again!Back To The FutureReview date: 2007-11-02 Rating: 10 out of 10I grew up on this Trilogy and still love every second of every film. You can't get much better than this for original storyline and characters. It takes the time travel theme and explores it in much greater depth than any previous film. Fox is superb as the various incarnations of the McFly family (with ground breaking effects for the time) and Christopher Lloyd plays the eccentric inventor to perfection. The time periods in the second and third film are rendered with such detail that you really become engrossed in the film and live it along with the characters. These films aren't heavy, serious movies, but they are brilliantly directed and acted and a great slice of family fun for a Sunday afternoon or just about anytime really. The extras are excellent and really add to your understanding of the whole series and are fascinating to watch in their own right. All in all, these are great films and are highly recommended, worth every penny. My All Time Great Flim Must Buy For AllReview date: 2007-11-01 Rating: 10 out of 10What A film this is always wanted a de lorean lol christopher lloyd is superb in all of them as the doc the hover board what a creation lol and i never knew what a jigawott was (still wonders) BUY THIS NOW
