DVD Description

The Gallaghers, the UK's most dysfunctional family, return along with assorted colourful characters on the Chatsworth Estate. Frank, Manchester's favourite son and world's worst father, embarks on a series of adventures with his remarkably well-balanced children Fiona, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie and Liam - and not forgetting the seventh kid on the way with Frank's valium-fuelled lover Sheila.

With more hilarious tales of how one extraordinary family goes about its normal everyday life, Shameless series two is packed with sex, love and scams: but the most important thing is - FAMILY.

Includes Feature Length Christmas Special

Forget a traditional Christmas, and prepare for the outrageous Gallagher clan to bring their own chaotic brand of festive cheer to the entire Chatsworth Estate.

It's a Merry Christmas, Shameless style.

worth your time

shameless series 2 is a bit too much of whats good for you if you know what i mean,11 episodes is an advancement of any other series and at times the stories struggle to stick together and stretches itself very thin at times and in places it feels like haveing teeth pulled out just getting to the desired moment in the show,a little too much in places is my only complaint but for all of that, this is still a magical show and this series is still grabbing at the 3.5 out of 5 review and it gets it.
Shameless is a show of over the top, exaggerated scenes about family and friends who have their downfalls but have humanity about them as well, laughs and emotions fall from this and anarchy is never far away.
New characters arrive, old ones leave to keep everyone on their toes and give the show diversity.
This is great tv,plenty happens here but the morals are always clear if you look for them, good stuff and not bad but just too much to chew over in parts.

Too Shameless!
Review date: 2006-09-02 Rating: 6 out of 10

Series 1 and the christmas Special were great and expectations were high for Series 2, there were a few good episodes but the rest were unrealistic and over-the-top. I'd just like to say that not all people from Manchester like to go around head butting each other, which writter Paul Abott seems to think we do. Series 3 was a bit better, but if most of the cast keep leaving, how much more can they write about for god sake. Go out know with pride and stop trying to come up with stupid storylines.

It's Shameless

The first series was a real event in our house and when that season ended we thought well that's that then. Unfortunately time the second came 'round I was workin and couldn't watch it, i know - what's a VCR for? But i wanted to tape another show. Two weeks later a package arrives: shameless series 2. Took us months to open it 'Wanna what a bit of shameless," 'na,' i'd say, too depressing. Finally we slipped the disk's in, after a few scenes, back into it. The cast have real spunk, what great roller coaster ride, we consumed it in two nights. My fav is the dude with Tourettes, he just cracks me up. His the kinda character all the kids would mimic at school. Brits aren't shamed to show themselves warts and all. Shame the Gallaghers don't live in our street. Buy it it's quality television.

Endlessly entertaining

Each and every character is a diamond in the rough and the plots are beautifully constructed. The family initially appears to be a haphazard collection of amoral misfits but soon reveal themselves as caring and sharing, despite the multiplicity of problems they face.
Discovering the "crude, rude and lewd" but lovable rogues of the Chatsworth Estate has entertained me over and over again.
