My favourite series!
Review date: 2007-07-04 Rating: 10 out of 10

The second series of Little Britain remains my favourite. Its sketches aren't as boring as the first series, and there's a lot of unexpected bits as well, so hats off to Lucas and Walliams!

Flogging a dead horse...

I remember when these guys were original and funny - they should have stopped after season 1. As with all catchphrase-based comedies this gets boring very quickly.
Buy it if you have no sense of humour.

A great laugh.

This is one of the funniest DVD's out at the moment. Yes, it can be racist, yes it can be very rude and yes it can be sexcist, but most of the time that is what makes it so funny. The reocurring catch phrases are thought up very well, even if they do get a little tiresome after a while.

Prepare to be offended, but most importantly if you buy this, prepare to have a laugh!

Better than the first season.
Review date: 2006-12-10 Rating: 8 out of 10

Little Britain's first season was a good comedy but not a huge phenomenon in the world of slapstick comedy. However, the second season is a massive success as they cut out all the less than fuuny jokes and added new characters which is more hilraious.

Firstly I shall talk about the new characters. My personal favourite and seems to be the most famous of the new characters is Carol "Computer says no" Beer. David Walliams has created this persona not to be wiity or not to be outlandish but just to be true. He plays this character so well that it feels just when you are at some bank and get rejected because the computer literally says no. He potrays this realisically without trying. Another character which is brilliant is Matt Lucas's "Bubbles" Da Vere. This time it is all about the shock factor as he plays this fat woman who thinks she can turn on this bloke by stripping. Crude, rude and definetaly nude but it is well worth a laugh. The other good thing they kept the lovable characters like Lou and Andy and Daffyd Thomas who are absolutely funny.

Not all the new characters are funny for example Harvey "Bitty" Pincher which is abosuletly sick. O.K. it does have some satire as in people do suck on their mums breast but it is not funny and down right disgusting. They also kept the prime minister joke which has no wit, no shock basically nothing going for it.

The extras on the DVD are close to fantastic with superb commentary by the creative Matt Lucas and David Walliams and a briiliant interview with Jonathan Ross. The only extra which isn't as good Little Britain at the NFT which is a huge lenghty interview of their career with clips of possibly their worst jokes.

Overall this DVD is a must buy for anyone who loves slapstick comedy with a bit of wit. They have certainly improved for the second series and may it live long. The show and extras have improvedand hopefully their creative spark will last for ages.

Show: 4 out of 5. Extras: 4 out of 5
