Disappointing Sequel.

I qutie liked the first ring as it was very scary and jump-out-of-your-seat moments that you wouldn't forget. I rented the ring 2 as I'm a fan for Simon Baker and wanting to know why they made a sequel. It starts of with two young teens watching the tape and one gets it while the other is frightened stiff about this horrid event. Rachel and Aidan are trying to move on from the events that shattered their lives forever, Rachel works in a newspaper place and bonding with Max (Simon Baker) while Aidan is taking photos and being a normal child. But when Rachel finds out that Samara is back and for revenge, she must stop the curse from hurting her son and end this horror once and for all. Though it sounds really good, it's so disappointing to be shown on screen. I was a little creeped out but it seemed so staged and rushed, the co-stars don't get a chance to shine and the true horror from the first has disappeared like it wasn't there to begin with. It dosen't really make a lot of sense also, what's with the deer turning evil? Bah, I'm glad I rented it before buying. A very disappointing sequel.

The Ring Two
Review date: 2008-01-18 Rating: 2 out of 10

This film was absolute garbage. I thought the first one (The Ring) was quite unusual, not your run of the mill horror, and I thought it was really good. Not so much scary, but really, really creepy. So I was keen to watch the sequel - what a disappointment. The storyline & acting was weak, weak, weak. If there was an option to rate 0, I wouldn't give it any stars at all.

mmm...not too bad...

I agree with most of the others when i say...WHY DONT YOU TURN ON THE LIGHT???!!theres lots of silly moments the blonde mom makes and the storyline itself was a lil patchy. Samara (the ghost kid) walked like a complete idiot (as was probable supposed to be- didnt it remind anyone of Silent Hill??) which was more comical than anything. A few scares I grant this film, and lots of weird face pulling. But i thought it dragged on, and on, and on...and it gets boring after a while. but if you wanted to know what happened after Ring 1...well, it answers all the questions. Except; How Blonde can the mom BE?!

Oh DEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before this film came out people were saying it was the scariest thing ever so me and my mate went to see it the following week and my god we were surprised how bad it was. Horror, more like a comedy. The bit with the deers running into the car makes this the funniest film ever. The deer even look like they might start talking. The end is just as funny with Gollum from lord of the rings making a guest appearance. This film makes me sick, its not horror its not a normal film, its just cr**.

So if you want Gollum with his Ring and bloody Deers who are so Retar*** they run into cars then this should be the movie for you.

Tak a hike and shove this ring up your pit and lets hope it never returns, also watch out for gollum he wants his PRECIOUSSSSSSSSS.

Goodbye for now but the ring will return and my god its gonna be rubbish.

A good film, but not as good as the first one

I enjoyed The Ring immensely and found it to be one of the few films of recent years that actually scared me. I am always wary of sequals but this one was pleasantly surprising and in parts it was almost as unnerving as the first film. Well worth a look if you fancy a fright and don't want to have to think too hard.
