a good remake! who would of thought it!
Review date: 2008-09-21 Rating: 8 out of 10
Ive seen the original and ive watched this one countless times and what can i say but the remake is so much better! The cars, the story, the cast are all phenominal. Nick cage plays a blinder as a retired car theif brought out from retirement to aid his dimwitted brother secure cars for a pre doctor who cristopher ecclestons british baddie!
The chase scenes are great to watch the cars are good to look at angelina jolie is just the cherry on the cake! even vinne jones plays a lovable character!
This film is all about speed and fast cars, its a great film that can be enjoyed over and over again!

Sensible audiences would be too.Review date: 2008-08-13 Rating: 2 out of 10This film is so silly! Bad acting, terrible effects, poor story, paper thin characters and not enough cars. The baddie is not scary, the brother is a weak character and should have been crushed. Cage is wasted in this film and Jolie is underused. Stealing cars is stealing cars and being put into such a ridiculous situation as this and to stretch it into a film is a complete waste of time and money. Typical Bruckheimer brain melting unchallenging fodder. Go and steal a real car, it would be more fun and the consequences would be preferable to sitting down through this heap of processed food.Fast Cars and Angelina Jolie...What Better ?Review date: 2007-05-31 Rating: 8 out of 10This movie has the finest gloss! Great woman, cool scenes and of course the cars! The cars were the best thing in the movie. I think that Cage and Jolie performed brillantly; as well as the whole cast. There was humor, excited, shooting. Even though it's a remake I believe that this movie is one of my favorite. I recommend any to go see this movie because it's awesome with it's cars and Angeline Jolie ;)Absolute no brainer!Review date: 2007-03-31 Rating: 2 out of 10What an embarrassing piece of drivel this is! No wonder Christopher Eccleston left Hollywood if all they could offer him were roles in such clunking macho nonsense. And this is meant to be a 'cool movie' filled with snappy one liners and 'cool' bad guys...? It's just jarring cliche after jarring cliche - even the cast have difficulty delivering the rubbish dialogue. One to avoid at all costs. Mega yawns all round. BTW, it doesn't even deserve one star - that's too generous!Best remake ever madeReview date: 2006-02-21 Rating: 10 out of 10I first saw the original Gone in Sixty Seconds a while ago and I thought it was a good, if slightly slow starting film. The remake is a brilliant fast paced film with just enough humor in it. Vinny Jones at the end of the film is an absolute stroke of genius!
Overall, a very good film which you can watch over and over again.
