Brilliant comedy.

Before I begin, I'd just like to say that I can't change the number of stars I originally gave this (my original DVD was faulty) and so I'll put my new score here: 5 stars

Series 3 is where the Meldrew saga really took off, and contains some of my all-time favourite episodes. There's "Monday Morning Will Be Fine", in which Victor tries to face life without the telly. A visit to the pub seems a good idea, but disaster soon strikes. There's also "Beware the Trickster on the Roof", in which Victor's neighbour returns from holiday with a present for him - a scorpion talisman which supposedly brings misfortune. But surely that's only superstition. Isn't it? Other episodes involve Victor's accident-prone brother visiting, bringing along a little keepsake of his - the Meldrews' ancestor's skull. And Victor's patience is tried when he's stuck in a traffic jam in one of those 'one-scene' episodes which this series does so well. All in all a timeless classic.

Poor reproduction
Review date: 2005-09-13 Rating: 2 out of 10

An excellent series badly let down by the poor quality of the DVD reproduction. My copy is in the process of being returned, the sound and picture are out of sync, in fact on disc 2 the sound and picture are so far out of sync it is unwatchable.
I could just imagine what Victor would have to say if he saw this!

As you like it

This series is timeless. Absolutely ingenious! This is one of the few comedy/TV series which has never lost it oomph! As the programmes are gradually released, the last one is as good as the first. Sure, everyone has their favourite episode but Richard Wilson and Annette make this series their own. The only thing that ever bugged me about the series was Eric Idles theme tune - you win some you lose some. Thoroughly recommended these series.

EXCELLENT ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
Review date: 2005-08-13 Rating: 8 out of 10

Another excellent DVD of this marvelous comedy. In total 6 series of One Foot In The Grave were produced (5 during the 1990s) and then after a period of time another 6th series was produced in the year 2000, as I believe. All in all, this is an excellent DVD and I would highly recommend buying this.

Can't wait for every episode.

Please could someone help me by writing a review, I didn't really follow this sitcom when released like I did with Only Fools and Horses, Red Dwarf ect. And now I have started to love it since I have seen some re-runs late night on Mondays. I have forgotten how many were made.

Please could someone let me know how many series were made of One Foot in the Grave as I am thinking of waiting for a complete box set of the seasons but as I don't know how many eps were made I haven't got a clue on the released dates of other series.

Thank you.

(excellent British comedy)
