Series 3 of Born and Bred is easily the best. The sparring between James Bolam and Michael French hits an all-time high plus the arrival of Richard Wilson in the second half of the series adds a new dimension. This series also has some wonderful guest stars: Stephanie Cole, Bill Paterson, Sylvia Sims, Una Stubbs, Mark Benton to name but a few. Plus, the fantastic regular cast get some stand-out moments, especially Maggie Steed.
