Weak final 8 episodes, weakish DVD set too

The final 8 episodes of Hercules are not the best you'll find from the show. There are some interesting concepts covered in episodes like "Be Deviled", "Love Amazon Style" and "City Of The Dead". There are a couple of good episodes, "Darkness Visible" and "Full Circle", and everything is geared towards being rounded off...but then really a weak episode like "Hercules, Tramps & Thieves" appears and doesn't do a character like Autolycus justice.

The extras are a little thin on the ground too. But commentary from Michael Hurst and Kevin Sorbo on a couple of the episodes is always welcome.

The show's "It's a Wrap" party footage and the Final Episode "Behind The Scenes" footage aren't that great. The content is wonderful...the film quality is blurred and terrible..worse than a family member's camcorder footage!

If you've collected the other Hercules DVD sets, then of course buy this to complete your set...especially as these are known as the "lost" Hercules episodes and never get repeated on TV. But as a Herc fan this final mini season will leave you feeling somewhat empty.
