Editorial
Synopsis

The comedy trio that share a rare talent and an ability to generate unstoppable laughter! Their rapid-fire sketches and a fusillade of one-liners render the description 'laugh a minute' a hopeless understatement.

Entertaining, But A Bit Simple
Review date: 2008-02-06 Rating: 4 out of 10

Recently I bought Series 1-3 of the early 80's sketch show "Three Of A Kind", I mainly bought it because it starred Lenny Henry and Tracey Ullman. Though the 2 hours (yes this series only has four episodes!) were entertaining I felt that the jokes were simple and about as funny as Bruce Forsyth in a nightclub (!). And with so many writers who went on to become successful I found it quite suprising, but I only figured why the programme was unfunny in a few moments, answer: David Copperfield. Copperfield seemed to show a cheap and poor side to the programme, he was obviously not a comedian of the future, he was to me a "Pub Entertainer" who somehow got to the BBC.
All in all the remaining contents of the show are not bad, but not much effort. I would reccomend that you buy the "better" Series 2, and the "quite good" Series 3.
