An interesting doc on the great british band
Review date: 2007-02-02 Rating: 8 out of 10

I watched this on a saturday morning, hungover in bed and thought it was ace. What impressed me is how the dvd explores not only their music and their rise to fame but their image too. The dvd presents how the band like their clothes and how they dressed which made them stand out and become unique. Another thing I liked too, was the background music on DVD, it ofcourse is not OASIS but a great unknown band, I don't have a clue who they are, but their songs were ace.
The only thing which I was disapointed about was the fact that there wasn't much "private" footage of the band or footage of the band at all, there's a few press clips of liam and noel but they aren't anything really interesting. I guess the little interviews from the people who know them closely make up for it and I guess it's a DVD which isn't over shadowed by the gallaghers, yet presents an external view from those who knew them growing up etc, if your a fan, get it, it's a nice little watch to have on your DVD shelf, mad fer it! ****

Interesting look at the career of this super band
Review date: 2006-01-12 Rating: 8 out of 10

This film covers where they grew up, talking to their mates and other musicians from the Manchester scene including Clint Boon from the Inspiral Carpets and Paulo Hewitt. It discusses their early beginnings. There is footage of their old stampling ground, and although there's no music, there are plenty of photos and interviews. There's a quiz at the end of the DVD which is fairly entertaining.
