Amazon.co.uk Review

50 Cent may have survived gunfire and gang fights but Will Smith remains the ultimate Teflon rapper. Nothing gets to him--not shifts in popular culture and taste. Not dipping record sales. Not even looming middle age. He's still happy playing the dopey, clean-cut "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," turning out Sesame Street rhymes over Playskool beats while remaining unaffected by the world outside. He deserves credit for standing his ground ("I never write verses with curses," he declares at one point). Guests include Timbaland, Snoop Dogg and DJ Jazzy Jeff. --Aidin Vaziri

Miracle
Review date: 2008-03-02 Rating: 10 out of 10

Will Smith, well what can be said, not only can the guy act, he can also write and sing some awesome songs, his music is a bit curious, doesn't follow the usual trend of american hip hop/RnB music yet has created a fine blend of fill good tunes, in which he has also injected a sense of humour. This with his all round charm and ability to see the good in every situation and his restraint from writting about the negatives in life, gives this album a feel good vibe that will resonate through you as you listen to it, it's great, BUY IT. P.S - check out his other stuff too, it's just as good.

Love it

Loving this album at the moment.

Best songs (in my humble opinion!) Tell me Why, Ms Holyroller and Loretta. Brilliantly witty, thought provoking lyrics. There are many misjudged pre-conceptions of Mr Smith - but after listening to this album over and over again, none of them seem justified.

Buy it!

Brilliant, but kind of pop

This was the first will smith album i have bought, i have since got greatest hits, and it is amazing, even my dad likes it, and whenever i play eminem, or 50 cent cries of turn that racket off go through the house.
The beats are amazing, especially on lost and found and tell me why, the latter being one of the best songs ever, mary j blige puts in an incredible performance.
Mr niceguy is a song about wills ability not to cuss and it takes a shot at eminem.
He can rap very well, and i reccomend this to any rap fan, be them gangsta or commercial.

So good it will even convert 50 cent fans

I have to admit that I was a big Will Smith fan previous to buying this album. He had a fantastic clean cut image and was starring in some good t.v and movie stuff. But up until I heard his new work, I never took any of Will's songs to be 'serious' music. He was the happy-go-lucky character from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, not a true rapper. But then I heard some of his new songs. They are such a change from his old persona, and also a refreshing change from the murder, gangs and sex that feature in almost every other rapper's albums. He keeps a fun fresh and funny vibe with tracks such as 'Here he comes' and 'Mr. Niceguy'. But he also has some hard hitting songs with great lyrics such as 'Tell me why' and 'Loretta', and is great when making fun of rappers such as 50 cent and Eminem in 'Lost and Found'.
At first you might be a bit ashamed of telling your friends about him, but believe me once they here it as well they'll definitely forget about any misconceptions that they might have previously had.

brilliant, absolutley brilliant

i bought this album on saturday because my friend recommended lost and found, but before i bought it i came on amazon and read some reviews and they were all brilliant, so when i brought the album home i put it staight in my cd player and was not dissapointed, all of the tracks on here are brilliant but my favourite ones are "party starter", "switch", "pump ya brakes", "tell me why", "switch...r&b remix" "switch regae remix" and "mr niceguy", but they are all brilliant, i seriousley recommend buying this album because you will not be dssapointed, and i tink that it is actually better than the documentary and the massacre, although some peopl might not agree because his songs are kind of rap pop but this album is superb!!!!!
