A really fun DVD to help learning the letter sounds. It kept my children interested all of the way through. The actual letter sounds were not as 'pure' as the sounds that are being taught in schools now EG. 'pu' rather than 'p' but the idea is there.

this is perfect for teaching a youngster the alphabet and it's sounds and names. It features the capital and lower case letters, the sounds they make, and the names of the letters, and that is all you need at this stage. Also, as this is MAISY, they love it!!!! Highly recommended, unlike the pretty unhelpful Spot's Alphabet.

I am four years old. This is a nice video. I like the bit when they are finding the eggs.
...and I'm her Mummy. My daughter has enjoyed this video from the age of 2, and still likes to watch it sometimes. Yes, it's made in part from clips of other stories, but this is imaginatively done, and actually helps to reinforce the learning. The bite-size chunks make it easy to stop and start without causing tantrums. An easy watch, and at a great low price.

My daughter likes Maisy, so I thought this would be a good educational buy. This video has been done completely on the cheap, chopping bits from other Maisy videos to make the alphabet. This is not in itself such a bad thing, but unfortunately it has been done terribly. On many occasions, the item that begins with the current letter is not the main object in the clip. The child gets completely confused, saying "F for house" etc, when the main object on screen is the house, but somehow the child is supposed to spot that the small flower in front of it is the subject. Avoid...
