The first 3 volumes each contain 3 episodes each (9 episodes in total) and will have some episodes that will appeal to book and film fans, but it has some things that the original book and film fans won't like, Blackberry being changed to a doe, Hzenthlay's name being changed to Primrose, the story not starting at Sandleford Warren etc. Though some people might welcome the change in the story and will start to grow fond of the series. It has a brilliant cast of characters John Hurt and Richard Briers who playes Hazel and Fiver in the orginal film return as Woundwort (Hurt) and a new character Captain Broom (Briers), other stars include Stephen Gately from Boyzone (Blackavar and who also sings the theme song 'Bright Eyes'), Stephen Fry (Cowslip), Tim McInnerny (Silverweed), Rik Mayall (Keeharr), Jane Horrocks (Hannah, a mouse who is a new character) and Phil Jupitas (Dandelion). Mike Batt's music is also brilliant and fits in with the cartoon perfectily, for those who are wanting to give this brilliant show a chance, I recommend this as a good starter and it's good value for money too.
