Let's face it, the title of the film is awful and you just know, if you're honest that it's going to be downhill from there.
Denise Richards plays a "brilliant" but undervalued wedding planner while Dean Cain is the heroic fire-fighter constantly playing down the importance of what he does, while exhibiting a surprising amount of freetime. Their relationship gets confused by Richards' work and Cain's ludicrously named brothers. The characters are one-dimensional as are the supporting cast: cue scary incompetent boss; token gay wedding assistant; spoilt brat bride-to-be; bad-boy brother and even badly behaved boss's pooch. The plot is ridiculous and the script is frankly appalling with Richards' confessional voice-over sounding like bad snatches from an ABC guide to chick lit.
Don't watch it; you know there's better stuff out there.

Good film that cheers you up

I'm just watching this film now as it's on Channel 5 and I think it's great. It's too good to be on Channel 5 - strong female characters, ok-ish plot, great acting. Denise Richards is the main character - she could do with putting on a few pounds but apart from that it's a nice way to while away an hour or two.
The script is good, acting good but it could have been a bit more challenging - why not have a black main female character? Why not introduce a bit of poverty?
Or perhaps I'm biassed in liking this film as I'm getting married next year! Hurrah!
