A very good Simpsons DVD
Review date: 2007-07-08 Rating: 8 out of 10

This DVD is a mixture of good and bad."Guess who's coming to criticise dinner"and "King Size Homer" are both brilliant episodes, a couple of the best Simpsons there are.

Whereas, on the other hand the other not so good episodes in my opinion are "Lisa the vegetarian"and"Burns ver kaufen der kraftwork", so overall a very mixed DVD.

The episodes and rating I would give them:
"Guess who's coming to criticise dinner" wher Homer becomes his most desirable job for him, a food critic! This episode is very interesting as it realistically shows how power can go to someone's head very quickly, it's also very witty and intriguing, and whether you want to or not you end up watching it to the end! Overall this is aclassic episode and would give it 10/10

Great Simpsons collection!!
Review date: 2005-11-09 Rating: 10 out of 10

If you collect the classic Simpsons DVDs then this one should definitely be around the top of your list! It has some great episodes on it and is only really ruined by how annoying Lisa is in Lisa the vegeterian.

Look who's coming to criticise dinner?: This a great episode which sees Homer do the job he ws born to do. When he walks off on the school feild trip he helped out on he goes to a leaving party for the newspaper's food critic. They see how good he is and he gets the chance to fill out a job application. Ofcourse he mucks it up and therefore seeks Lisa's help. They do well but eventuallly it goes wrong, all in hilarious Simpson fashion! 10/10

King-Size Homer: This story has another strange quest Homer goes on, tgis time he has to gain loads of weight so he can work at home. Once again his laziness gets the better of him and things go wrong at the plant, but this time he's at home and he has to get there in time to save everyone! The way he does it is funny and ironic. A memorable episode. 10/10

Burns Ver Kaufen Der Kraftwork: This one may have been a bit old and too familiar to the people who buy this DVD. It's still an alright episode though. Mr Burns sells the plant to Germans to seek a more relaxing life. The new bosses are alot more strict and Homer is immediately fired. Things go wrong for Burns to and after getting booed out of Moes Tavern by Homer, Bart and other drunks he realizes that he needs power and buys the plant back, the Germans only sell it because it's falling apart! 8/10

Lisa the Vegetarian: I'll be honest and say that this episode is typically ruined by Lisa and her morals. She decides to become a vegetarian and ruins a barbecue Homer throws. After getting shouted at she runs away and meets Paul and Lina McCartney with Apu and realizes that she shouldn't eat meat but she also shouldn't try and ruin it for everyone else. The only thing that saves it is Homer's funny moments. 6/10
