Brialliant! A little gem
Review date: 2005-12-24 Rating: 10 out of 10

This is brilliant! And so nice to see Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau together. I found it really funny and a good story too. Odd Couple 2 is another gem.

If you Lemmon and Matthau, then you will probably love this.

Yep it is the grumpy duo (Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon) at it again only this time they are "Out to Sea."

Herb Sullivan (Lemmon) widower, is reminiscing his wedding anniversary. He seemed a little down. So his good friend Charlie (Matthau), yeah sure, invites him on a FREE cruse to cheer him up. Now I am not saying that Charlie has something up his sleeve but is cosigning up to Liz (Dyan Cannon); she appears to be a wealthy and attractive co-passenger. And soon Herb finds out what FREE really means.

The story is not as important as the one liners and some good acting from quite a few veteran actors that can really put on a song and dance performance.

Ahh the comedy...

Truth be told, I only bought this DVD for Brent Spiner's character, Gil Godwyn and it was well worth it; Spiner and Mathau had me in stitches the whole time!

This was my first Lemon/Mathau film so I can't say whether it was exceptional for them, but as I said before, Mathau is hilarious and this is one of Spiner's best films in my opinion - he does comedy very well.

"Holy moley!!!"

This Film is about two old men (Matthau, Lemmon) who try to get a free cruise by pretending to be professional dancers to entertain the ship's guests. They try to avoid arousing suspision from the ever watchful and spiteful entertainment supervisor (Brent Spiner) who smells a rat.
Unfortunately this film was very disasspointing, horribily directed and edited, the film is a mix of oddly placed scenes rolled together to make this megar excuse for a film, which fails entirely to bring out the full potential of a good cast.
Despite relying entirely on the special relationship between Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, and Star Trek's talented actor Brent Spiner. It is not enough overcome the fact this is a bad film. Some of the magic is still there between Matthau and Lemmon, but this is certainly not the best their on screen partnership has produced. A great shame!
