Political correctness....Who cares, just have a good laugh
Review date: 2007-10-07 Rating: 10 out of 10

Sadly this program would most likely not be shown now due to this countries crazy political correctness. Watching it was like a breath of fresh air compared to the crap sterile stuff we have now, this was made when people did not have to watch every word that they said so as not to heaven forbid 'offend someone', this show is full of classic one liners, this is comedy at its best and like I have said it is like a breath of fresh air. A MUST BUY in my opinion.

'it's the thin end of the wedge love'

and so Eddie Booth tries to justify his behaviour. somehow, ever since Bill and barbie Reynolds moved in next door he's had a lot to moan about to long suffering wife joan. At first glance, Bill and eddie are totall opposittes. Eddies white, Labour, and more than a little lazy. Bill, is Black, hard working and Tory. It's amusing that most of the time, they end up in some sort of trouble together. This season there is a housewarming party next door. Joan is determined to go,but will Eddie put the mockers on it? Also this season, Bill tricks Eddie into doing a naked dance at midnight after Eddie dabbles in voodoo. The beautiful Nina Baden Semper and the rather gorgeous Rudolph Walker are brilliant as Bill and Barbie.

This follows on from Series 1...when Bill and Barbie hold an housewarming party, Eddie tries to stop his wife from going but as usual she sides with the new neighbours so in a fit of pique Eddie complains to the police about the noise from the party, contains the full series plus 2 bonus episodes... another very tongue-in-cheek look at racism in the 1970s.
