Synopsis
This feature-length episode from Christmas Day 1992, Mother Nature's Son, sees the Trotters with a Christmas cashflow problem. But it might start to flow again with the discovery of Peckham Spring Water, care of Grandad's old allotment. Contented, they settle down for the evening, only to see on the news that some old yellow barrels they cleared from the allotments have gone and contaminated the local water supply!

released in 1992 as a hour long special mother natures son remains one of the most infamous of the only fools xmas specials as fiction reflected reality with the subject matter,as in the show del boy markets tap water as spring water and makes a fortune,the coca cola company were later accused of the same trick with bottled water,strange but very true.
This episode was watched by some 20 million people upon its release and im sure that all enjoyed this classic where del brings his scheming to the health food industry and sees that he can makle a fortune,at this stage all the characters that had been intriduced around the time of series 5 are in full flow and the script is brilliant,packed with genuine laughs and a real sense of reality flows throughout,vital is the word that i shall use again here.

What can I say "I love all of Only Fools and Horses" and am a happy groupie who loves to watch Del Boy' Rodders, Trigger, Boycie, Grandpa, Uncle Albert, ect, ect, ect, get up to all their tricks. Lovely Jubbly Guys.

Coca Cola spent millions promoting the repackaged tap water, Dasani. This was taken from the mains supply in Kent. . .
Hang on a minute, that sounds familiar. I wonder where they got the idea? Surely not!!!
Watch Del and the gang at their very best. Utterly brilliant.

Mother Nature's Son is one of the very best OF&H episodes with some classic moments. However, the BBC have done their usual trick of deleting scenes for "contractual reasons" - why can't the BBC sort out these problems & give the fans what they want, i.e. the complete episode, & some extras would be nice too!!

As with all only fools dvds there is not much extras wise just the usual scene selection and subtitles but it is one of the best episode ever filmed in my opinion. It is worth buying just for that but it also has only been repeated on tv only once to my knowledge. I only gave it 4 stars because of the sparce extras but it is brilliant.
