Popular seems like a grown-up version of Saved By The Bell, with it's warm humour mixed in with One Tree Hill-like family squabbles. Overall the first season was absolutely cracking and comes highly recommended from someone now looking back with a great degree of nostalgia.

I love this show, and I am a true addict, I can't watch it enough. It has everything a show needs, great parodies of different films, music videos and a number of other things. It is filled with popculture and is just like a generally happy show full of nice bright colors, a great cast and nice hair. The cast are all hot and Brooke, Nicole and Mary Cherry have great hair, I love the popular group. The guy who plays Harrison, Christian something I think, is real cute, which is another reason to like watch it. Big cheerleader wannabe Carman is the moral compass of the show (if u like that kinda thing, haha), how funny. Enjoy this people, it is a must buy, I have gotten a whole bunch of my friends addicted to Popular now, hehe. They should really sell it on a region two DVD format though, seriously. Luvs it.
Greatest Spoof Show Ever

You get your spy spoofs, you get your horror spoofs and you get your chick flick spoofs...but never in a million years did I think I'd find a spoof about teenage life! Everything, from the over the top reactions to the wayward unbeleivable storylines is just a spoof. You have your stereotypical mean cheerleader, the nice popular one, the mean rich texan girl, the lesbian vegetarian, the jock, the fat jock, the misfit and the misfits geek best friend...it's all there, even the psycho science teacher. This show came out when I was...what...11 or 12 I don't remember, it came on Sky One yeeeeaaars ago and I never missed an episode, I wish it hadn't been cancelled, but it was, but thank goodness for the DVD's. Buy it...buy it now.
very good, but at times unecessary

I used to watch this show on channel 5 years ago and I always loved it, but stopped watching it and it's not on air anymore and was never popular in this country. I saw the DVDs on the internet and knew I had to have them. It's very comical and explores many issues that teens face. But at times can be a little to sentimental and unrealistic which can be annoying. But it's still a good show.

This show is fairly unknown in the uk, but I am so glad I saw it then purchased it from amazon. Great casting, great stories, great style! Beautiful women, Georgous men, hillariously funny, deeply touching! PLEASE MAKE A SEASON 3, I miss this show badly, but I watch seasons 1&2 over and over and over again, as will you!!! CLASSIC!!!!
