Synopsis
At first Poirot believes Elinor Carlisle committed the double murder of her aunt and love rival by poisoning as all evidence points that way, but seeing her in court causes him to have doubts and he looks into a probable different scenario.
Another great poirot

This is a superb adaptation probably the second best ever suchet
poirot (after the five little pigs).
Other series decline as they go on this one seems to be reaching
greater heights than ever.
The cast is brilliant, each fulfilling their role (e.g. rich young lady, disgruntled old gardener) perfectly. The filming is very atmospheric and some new state of the art techniques takes the Poirot series one step further removing it from the clichéd, poorly acted episodes of the past. And of course what Poirot would be complete without David Suchet who acts the podgy, Belgian detective superbly once again.
"Sad Cypress" should meet up to every Christie fan and is a great introduction if you've never seen a Christie film before (unlikely). "Sad Cypress" is a more plausible, well acted, entertaining (and slightly scary) instalment in the Poirot series. Enjoy...
