Freefall - Flight 174 [1995]

A remarkable feat of courage and flying
Review date: 2005-11-18 Rating: 8 out of 10

The true story of an Air Canada Boeing 767 which ran out of fuel at cruising height, and how the skill of the Captain glided it down to a perfect touchdown at a disused airfield called Gimley.
I have read the book and the movie is quite accurate to the real life events although the flight number 174 was not the real one. The Captain and co-pilots name in the movie are the real names of the flight crew. Captain Bob Pearson and First Officer Maurice Quintal.

A truly remarkable feat of flying and airmanship.

An entertaining movie.
