Poor, thoroughly dissapointing. I bought this from amazon thinking wow, looks great, must have good fight scenes, plot and so forth. I did watch the whole film through out and it was thoroughly rubbish. starts off well, you follow the protagonist a young boy in a new school with........with a secret, you feel. characters develope well but your always waiting for that something that never comes. Fight scenes not very memorable and your left feeling like you've wasted valuable time on this film.

Is it worth the money?Review date: 2006-06-17 Rating: 4 out of 10This film is only worth the money if you are collecting Premier Asia titles (like myself)... Thats it.. One watch and it will sit on your shelf. After such Premier Asia titles such as Ong Bak, Ju On the Grudge and Musa the Warrior and Korean films like Old boy, Lady Vengeance, Phone and Shiri this film was a real let down. The plot was non existant... However there are 3 good points about this Dvd
1. Up to the usual high standard of Premier Asia.. All the extra fetures are top notch
2. I did like some of the music
3 When the end credits rolling you get a sense of relief.
The reason why this is getting 2 stars rather than 1 is because the "extras" are pretty good... That is about the only saving graceI ended up giving up and going and having a bath instead.Review date: 2006-05-17 Rating: 4 out of 10I rented this through Amazon's on-line postal rental service. It started off promising - but the story-line was either so 'all over the shop' it could not be followed, or non-existant. I'm still not sure which.
It's just a whole bunch of (badly choreographed) fight scenes tacked together. With some rather dubious CG. I eventually gave up all together.
Go and watch Versus again instead. Setting the record straightReview date: 2006-03-18 Rating: 8 out of 10Right lets set the record straight about this film.....
By no means is it crap but its not a shining example of Koren filmmaking either.
Taking place in Volcano High, a school for pupils with exordinary powers (sensing a little X men here) it follows the typical troubled but misunderstood new kid who is the most powerful of them all able to perform some 'Chi' trick of merging water into a force blast type thing!!!!As far as narrative goes, this isn't the most clear in the world, things happen that don't really make sense but that may be a case of translation barriers.
However I found it emensly entertaining. The look of it is also really intersting, everything is tinted a blue steely look which makes the film visually stand out. However, for those hard core Martial Arts fans out there I don't think this will live up to your expectations as its a case of less fighting and more 'wire fu', computer effects and overly long posed stasis in which we must admire the well formed form of the led male who has a rather concerning bleached-dye thing going on!!!!
But for those less disserting Martial Arts viewers this will no doubt provide a most entertaining viewing but....
PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THE FILM WITH THE ENGLISH DUBS, they are terrible YOU MUST ONLY watch it with the subtitles so if reading is not your thing you will not enjoy this film as the dubs really let it down!!!!!
Just goes to showReview date: 2006-02-22 Rating: 2 out of 10Should have trusted the 1-star review. This film was lacking in plot, decent effects, humour, the lot; there wasn't even much in the way of decent violence. Avoid.
