and fun with excellent performances especially from Joan Plowright but also Mia Farrow surprisingly convincing as Irish.
When I saw this first some years ago I was amazed that it was a box-office flop......re-viewing now it does perhaps lack a little in technical skill but still charming!

This is a terrific little film that stars Mia Farrow, Natasha
Richardson and the wonderful Joan Plowright. Widows' Peak is
so named because there are so many widows in the little town.
Somone is out to do Mia Farrow in and through investigating we
find out all about all the goings on in the town. Jim Broadbent
is seen as the dentist and Adrian Dunbar is Plowright's son.
Great ending. A superb Irish grudge movie.
