A Family At War

Pure nostalgia - and a wonderful drama too
Review date: 2004-04-15 Rating: 10 out of 10

This series is just as enjoyable to watch as it was in the 70s. You can certainly watch it more than once and probably get pleasure from it time after time. There are lots of good actors, including the young man who provided the lead role in Kes. Let's hope the other two series will be released soon. The storylines are very interesting and evocative - in short I couldn't fault it.

Family At War Boxed Set
Review date: 2004-02-24 Rating: 10 out of 10

I cannot say how much we have enjoyed the last few nights of viewing, The story of the Ashton Family, Living in Liverpool and thier life in the War. It really portrays those war years. Family At War The Boxed Set. with a full 640 mins, is complusive viewing for the whole family, with a PG certificate it is both educational for the younger members and a look back into the past for the elder members of the family. With stars such as Keith Drinkel, plus many others and an apperance by Julie Goodyear, (corries Bet Lynch) THis set with not disapoint and offers many hours of viewing that can be watched time and time again 10/10.
