Definitely worth buying this if you're 20 something and fancy a trip down memory lane, or if you have young kids stick this in the DVD player and it'll keep them quiet for hours while you do your house work or whatever.

So a BIG thumbs up from me for Fraggle Rock then!

I would like to think that today's kids would understand the appeal of this classic TV series. I fear, however, that the humour and old-fashioned looking muppetry may be lost on them. If this is so and they prefer Barney, Teletubbies and Fimbles then they are sorely missing out in a way that just cannot be explained. I remember this as one of the funniest children's TV programmes of the day and certainly the best of the Muppet-based shows. I would even go so far to say it is better than The Muppets, just for the sheer hilarity I found as a kid and still do today.

It is worth noting though that the picture is unacceptably poor. Granted it is 20years old but the picture is very grainy and could have been cleaned up to make it sharper. A minor quibble, but it only matters more because it would have been nice to see Fraggle Rock given the DVD treatment it deserves. Just rewind back to the days when VHS was all the rage and you'll be more than happy.
