Amazon.co.uk Review

The second series of The Fast Show races on from where the first series left off, taking the now-familiar characters and projecting them into new and unusual situations. The "Suits You" men are let loose as waiters in a restaurant, Indecisive Dave finally makes his mind up, Unlucky Alf tries his hand at courting, Bob Fleming splutters his way through a midnight Badger Watch and Channel 9 branches out into light-entertainment with predictably incomprehensible results. The seven episodes also add further depth to many of the catchphrase-reliant characters. Rowley Birkin QC finds a touching reason to wish he hadn't been "very, very drunk", Ted and Ralph's romance stutters on, Brilliant! gets depressed and things turn sour for Which Was Nice. All our favourites are present and correct, but the freshest laughs come from the new characters and less-established sketches, such as an inept croupier blundering through his first day on the job, Brilliant!'s dad ("Rubbish!"), haughty, mistake-prone history presenter Gideon Soames, and the world-weary Carl Hooper's unspectacular show "That's Amazing!".

On the DVD: The Fast Show, Series 2 comes to DVD with no extras, aside from some nicely animated menus, episode and scene selection. --Paul Philpott

One of the best DVDs and the worst delivery!

Well, I watched this on telly and wanted to buy this for my collection.

I have been a customer of Amazon for 7 years and I had never made any complaint and I have never returned any goods. I have also shopped online from several other companies.

The delivery company Citylink is simply a disgrace for such a reputable company like Amazon to use. I was home for the past one week and stayed in the lounge all day to wait for the products. However, I tracked these items online and found out Citylink claims that they had attempted to deliver these items and 'carded'. Funny enough, no one rang the doorbell and no postcards were left. I called Citylink early yesterday morning and told them I'd leave the door wide open and lights on and I would be at home all day. At 2pm, I tracked it from citylink's website, it said they had attempted to deliver at 1PM. This is a complete joke and lie.

You can type in Citylink and review in google and find out other customers' experiences with citylink. Enough said.

If you want your items fast, select first class, not express.

i recently bought series 1-3 as i loved the show when it was first aired.on watching the first season however my attention wained after the 3rd episode, because of the repetitiveness of the sketches and characters. so if u want to fully enjoy the show i would watch it in small doses. it unfortunatley has a lack of extra's which was a disappointment. however a funny show in general

Colourful and very funny..

The formula should be known by now; extremely short sketches by known characters (very often just one catchphrase). The results are almost always funny, sometimes nearly too painful to whatch (the relationship between Ted and Ralph), rude (Ken and Kenneth 'suits you sir') or nonsensical (Chanel 9).

Best of the Fast show!

This is by far the best yet I have seen of the fast show, introducing new characters in more detail, like 'swiss toni' and keeping some of the classics from the early series, including all the sketches from 'channel 9' Its a shame that they don't broadcast these anymore, but this is the best way to grab all of what was the greatest comedy sketch show ever! So this is a must have for the likes of fast show fans, and if you liked 'bottom' or 'happiness' then i'm sure this is for you. there is something for everyone, and if you decide that you dont like 'that' particular sketch, then all you have to do is wait a few seconds for the next one to roll on! They have mangaged to cram seven episodes on here, so the comedy genius is almost endless and will continue to put a smile on fans for a long time!
