Low budget but good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review date: 2007-12-15 Rating: 8 out of 10
This film has it all it has genuine creepy moments and despite being low budget I did not feel like turning it off after 10 mins. This is a made for cable dvd !!!!!! No blurry camera shots here or trying to make shapes
of people out . The camera guy did a great job here . What makes this good
is that its not over the top with what happens there is an element of it
is possoble. There is a good twist that I did not see coming . ALL IN ALL A CRACKING DVD .... THERE ARE WORSE BUT NOT MUCH BETTER THAN THIS LOW BUDGET PROBABLY THE BEST LOW BUDGET I HAVE SEEN !!!!!!!!!! GET IT TODAY
If you love ‘so bad it’s the most brilliant film you’ve ever seen’ then Black Cadillac will not disappoint. Not only does it involve a Saab (one of the greatest cars to grace this planet) the three ‘guys’ are the most bizarre mix of characters. There’s Scott (Johnson) the smug, smoothed face blond one, whose luck never runs out. Then there’s C.J (Hammond) ‘pez man,’ a goth creation who constantly nibbles on his sweets and makes constant biblical references. And finally Robby (Dohring), the little virgin brother. To add to the strange mix of unknown and never seen again cast is Randy Quaid. As you’re watching this film the recurring thought of ‘what the hell are you doing here Quaid?’ echoes constantly in your mind, but this only adds to the amazingness that is Black Cadillac. Although the plot is a bit weak and you never really understand why this black Cadillac is following this teenage and hormoned fuelled car (excuse the pun), there are definitely some tense and creepy moments. As always with these types of films, the end never fulfils the intense build up, but because it is a so bad Black Cadillac goes full circle and becomes a very watchable treat! And when watching, count the amount of times the guys scream Waaaahoooo! It’s truly laughable!
