My mother asked if I could order it for her but it's only available on region 1. Does anyone know of a plan to release it on region 2? Region 2 would have got this funny film 5 stars!

I just loved this. It makes me weep every time I see it, but then I'm just a big softy at heart. Curly Sue is just so funny and cute you just want to pick her up and hug her tightly! It is such a heart-warming story of hardship and courage; about true love and the real meaning of life. Curly Sue and Bill work together so well you really do believe they're father and daughter (in the movie Bill technically is not her father); that they have spent their lives living on the road, going from city to city, learning to survive using cunning tricks to get food and shelter from gullible do-gooders. They end up in Chicago, and immediately set about planning their next meal. They successfully con a woman who turns out to be a ruthless high-flying lawyer, and soon they are eating in a restaurant, while she looks on remorseful. Over time, this lawyer's heart softens, and she falls in love with Curly Sue. Having never had any children of her own, she soon feels the motherly instinct kicking in toward this little girl. Shortly there after she quits her law firm job, and applies to formally adopt Curly Sue, along with Bill, with funny and heart-warming things happening in between.
I'm not really a fan of family movies; they can get too slushy. But this one is definitely my favourite. Just buy it, and get some tissues ready. You'll be weeping with joy, and with sorrow in equal measure.

you absolutely must buy this film!!!!! It is genius, one for all to enjoy!!!!! Curly Sue is my idol i love her;I used to be homeless to and can really relate to her issues!!!!! The women is a hottie, i can't stop watching this film if you know what i mean!!!!!!!

I am not going to re-write the synopsis within this review or give a scene by scene breakdown.
Suffice to say that this is a wonderful family film - funny, sad, poignant, perhaps even topical to a small degree - this really is just a great film.
You will not be disappointed watching this.

This is just such a cute, funny, touching, family film! Curly Sue is so cute! I want this on DVD! Can't seem to find it anywhere!
I have watched this film over and over again, each time more interesting.....
