"Life is what happens, when your making other plans"
Review date: 2005-08-16 Rating: 10 out of 10

WOW i watched this film a long time ago and i had to buy it recently, just to re-live those funny moments.
this is a wacky comedy that we make you laugh from beginning to end. Milla Jovovich looks mighty fine as Christian Slater's girlfriend.
if you havent seen this, watch it!

Futures so bright... I gotta wear shades!
Review date: 2004-08-01 Rating: 10 out of 10

Been 'looking' for this for a good couple of years. Most 'Yanks' (I mean Americans lol) that I had talked to hadn't heard of the film! Strangely enough, its only available on a region 1 disc. (?) I find it and, as thought, I wasn't dissapointed Was actually only 12 when I first saw this. I felt like '10 men' when walking into the cinema. It COULD have been a really bad movie and I would have STILL liked it but, thankfully, it was money well spent.

The stories about George Kuffs (Slater) who decides to avenge his brother death by going after the chap who killed him. He inherits his brothers polic district and vows to get his man. With the help of his 'partner' (Goldwyn), who incidentally is going out with Captain Morinos wife (played by the worst of the Baywath babes; lieutenant Holden), he tracks down the killer and, well, you'll have to watch it to find out.

My only criticism of what is, otherwise, a faultless film, is the distortion of some of the swear words, which I dont RECALL being in the movie but, so what, its not a MAJOR moan (perhaps it was in the original; I dont recall).

Oh yeah, Maya (Milla Jovich), Kuffs girlfriennd (future wife)looks SUPRISINGLY young! S'pose it IS almost 14 years old.

Kuffs, a comedy about growing up.

This was definitely one of my fave' movies of the 90's. Young tearaway George Kuffs (Slater)has just dumped his pregnant girlfriend, when his older, policeman brother Brad (Bruce Boxleitner - Babylon 5> is murdered. Hopeful for some payback, George joins the local police force in order to catch his brother's killer, whilst also attempting to win back the girl, and in doing so learns to grow up somewhat in the process. As the billboard in the movie says quite aptly really, 'Life: what happens whilst you're making other plans.'
The soundtrack is also, just perfect for the film's different moods; 'I don't wanna live without you' may be the most moving song I've heard on a film. My only complaint is that it's not out on DVD!

Just a funny film

This is one of my favourite films without a doubt. What makes the film, simply put, is the dialogue. There isn't much by way of 'whooshy' special effects, it is just a peculiar and witty film with a number the 'Ferris Bueller-esque' asides to the camera. Don't expect a 'deep' plot...but it is a fast paced and enjoyable romp nonetheless.

Too sureal to avoid, and too funny to sleep through

What a cool little (generally unheard of film). By now most of you know Christain Slater and will recongise many of his charater traits in this movie. If you are a fan of his this is a must, and if not you should still try it on for size as it is just plain and simply fun entertainment. Definately a pop-corn movie which won't bother your intellectual capacity, but is still very absorbing. OK, so it is now 8 years old, but the comedy is fresh and the action plentiful.
