This Norman Wisdom Collection contains twelve vintage Wisdom comedies, from "Trouble in Store" (1953) to "Press for Time" (1966). All are also released as six separate two-in-one sets. All the discs come with a trailer and English subtitles as standard. I have bought The Norman Wisdom Collection because I want to show my Grandchildren aged 7 and 6, What my Mum and Dad showed my brother and myself at the Cinema in our days,[the 1950`s]We all came out feeling great.Now I have had my Dad aged 84,My Father-inlaw aged 88,My wife,My Daughter,My Grandchildren watching Norman on our TV,It is great to see all the Laughter and tears of Laughter in our house.It is Great.The best drug on the Market.Thank you Sir Norman.

Very enjoyable and good value if your a norman fan

Would not hesitate to recommend this box set. Have seen 10 out of 12 of the set and laughed so much.. I recommend them if you like Norman Wisdom, well you must do or you wouldn't be reading these reviews. You won't regret buying especially at this silly price.
REVENGE OF THE LITTLE MAN

I am back in '50's England when things were simple, films entertained and didn't need a "message" or have a huge budget, with actors with equally huge egos, shot with film so one takes were the order of the day, but these were consumate pros who knew their craft. Wisdom is surely one of our national treasures, and a better actor than some of the vehicles on this disc.

norman wisdom/pitkin/shields...whichever character he is playing, norman has kept me in stitches for as long as i can remember. im 20 years old and since being a young child my sister and dad have watched every single film over and over again. none of the laughter has ever run out and he still continues to have me in stitches every single time. i would definitely recommend this box set to anyone who is already a fan or wants to know why he is a comedy favourite of so many. "A Stitch in Time", "On the Beat" and "Up in the World" (a.k.a the window cleaner one!) are amongst my favourites but seriously, they are all the work of a truly legendary comic genius. enjoy....

What more can one say about Norman Wisdom. Its all been said before. He's my childhood and adult all time favourite. What a comedian/actor/singer/musican. Norman has got it all and anyone who see's this genious working just has to admire his honesty in his work. When I think of how easy it is now for actors to make it to the top, I think of how hard it was for Norman Wisdom trudging the streets looking for work and having to prove himself with the rest of the up and coming stars of his younger days. Well done Norman your a STAR.
