I picked up a few useful tips from this, but like most of his DVDs that I have seen, I found it rather rambling.
Personally, I found Tommy Igoe Getting Started on Drums much more useful.

This DVD is a reminder of technique fundamentals, incuding a useful warm up/finger control development routine. There is also a useful section on brush technique. Buying the megapack (with book and CD) is well worth the extra money. Pointers are given to several topics (independence, tuning) together with recommended further reading (e.g. Jim Chapin's "Advanced Techniques"). There are three advanced solos which seem a little out of place - it would have been nice to have seen some more accessible solos or fills, but they provide a standard to aspire to!
