This film did definitely not get the praise that it deserved.

Uma Thurman and Juliette Lewis play two small town women who aren't exactly the cleverest girls in America. Uma Thurman still lives with her mother and Juliette Lewis lives a beaten down house with her daughter. Uma Thurman meets a guy who she believes to be "the one" but of course he's just a guy who wants to get laid! The whole film revolves around Uma Thurman's life taking a drastic turn after she suffers from a case of "hysterical blindness" at work.

I watched this film on Sky and didn't really expect it to be great but within the first ten minutes I was hooked. It made me laugh but it also made me feel sad and was just such an honest film I could easily relate to it! The only thing I didn't like about it is that it seemed to end too early. Bobby, the bartender, and Juliette Lewis had ALOT of sexual tension between them but nothing ever happened! And I expected Uma Thurman to actually find "the one" but she never does which is dissapointing. But I think this film is great and it's been proven as Uma Thurman won an academy award for her performance in it.
