A must for any drummer
Review date: 2006-11-14 Rating: 10 out of 10
If you haven't seen this then go buy it. If you own A Thomas Lang DVD but not this, then you are into the wrong stuff my friend! This is about music not athletics. Steve Gadd is one (if not THE) most influential drummer of modern times. Any drummer worth his salt has at one time (and probably still does) listen and try try to learn from the great man. You hear lots of jokes about drummers, well there ain't nothing funny about Steve Gadd, what he does is tasteful and musical. Genius of the drums is not a high enough accolade for this guys. He's a drum god.

not "In session". "In session" is Gadd working with Richard Tee, Eddie Gomez, Will Lee, and Jorge Dalto in the studio. Great playing-examples in styles ranging from funk, blues, ballads to bebop/swing.Complete drummers guide!Review date: 2004-03-04 Rating: 10 out of 10This is the upmost best drummer video I've seen. It takes the viewers through a very varied side of drumming. Steve starts with simple paradiddlediddles and takes us up to f.ex his rythms in some of Simon&Garfunkels songs (among:50 ways to leave your lover). The video presents much of his way of drumming by takeing it down to a slow level and the up to speed as he uses them in the music. Personally I prefer the "Mozambique"-rythm. It is so incredible good! This movie is a must for all drummers! Good luck with the lessions!
