Dark, modern ninja flick
Review date: 2003-11-03 Rating: 8 out of 10

Imagine watching that film about the guy who clones a park full of jurassic dinosaurs... but instead of it beginning with the two scientists being offered a life-changing employment opportunity, an evil entrepeneur comes along (with his ninja team) and explodes all their hard work, slays everyone except the girl--who he kidnaps.

Her new job is to provide technical assistance to one of his most evil and devious plans (involving an African hotel resort and the local water supply); her husband's job is to grab his ex-fighting buddy, and kick some evil-entrepeneur buttski!

W-w-wait! Its not that simple! Did i forget to mention that they will face a web of intrigue, not to mention a horde of ninja, before they can get to this evil guy? They come frustratingly close to their target in the early stages of the film, which makes it all the more nail biting.

The film sees various elements of the plot unfold to a twisted climax; including a variety of ninja who put up a good fight but often get their butts whiped thanks to the maveric duo's teamwork!
Not wanting to give too much away, one scene will make you make you think twice about going to a roller disco ever again!

My favourite part: an apparently deserted industrial plant is actually riddled with camoflage ninja who seem to appear from nowhere!

In general, an elaborate and twisting adventure, with a whole range of action: fighting, shooting, explosions, car chases and of course ninja!
