by far it is the best sequel lot better than the orignal
it concentrates on the main characters instead of interlinking mini stories into one and heavy metal 2000 this time got load
of cgi and great voice overs from michael ironside (v ) and the
very sexy julie strain is stunning for the voice of julie great story to tie with the comic great gory scenes and cgi effects
and an must have for comic book fans .

Heavy Metal: Fakk 2 (or Heavy Metal 2000 as it is known in the USA)
is the best sequel imaginable to a highly acclaimed cult classic.
The animation and soundtrack keep in theme with what made the
original so hugely successful, without losing out to todays
use of CGI enhanced animation.
The story is more of an enhancement of the "Tarnaa" sequence from
the first film rather than a collection of short stories. If
"Tarnaa" was your favourite story of them all then this sequel will
be extremely satisfying to your hopes of an exciting 2nd instalment.
The plot tells the story of Julie, a pumped up warrior who goes by
the name of Fakk 2 to defeat the forces of the evil Tyler, a
villainous pirate who destroyed Julie's beloved home planet and
kidnapped her sister to work as a slave. Julie must stop Tyler before
he can reach the "Melting Pot", a hidden planet with special waters
that can grant immortality.
The action sequences are impressive, and I can't really find one
bad thing about this sequel because it's been made with pure love
and respect for it's predeccesor. The ending is astounding and will
leave you shaking with adrenaline with the sudden twist and the
sounds of harrowing evil laughter.
For those who love adult sci-fi, this is a must. For those of you
who don't like buxom women, gore and loud music, steer clear.
Hats off to Kevin Eastman (editor of Heavy Metal magazine) and co
for pulling this off. High praise indeed.
