Amazon.co.uk Review
The fourth series of Sex and the City is just as smart and sexy as ever, mixing caustic adult wit and sharply observed situation comedy on the mean streets of Manhattan, though this time the quartet of singleton city girls must endure even tougher combat in the unending war of love, sex and shopping. Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) finally seems to have found her ideal life partner when she is reunited with handsome craftsman Aidan. But can their relationship survive trial by cohabitation? Meanwhile Charlotte (Kristin Davis) seems to have both her dream Park Avenue apartment and a solution to her marital problems with Trey (Kyle MacLachlan), as well as conquering his fearsome mother. But when the subject of babies comes up everything starts to unravel for her, too. It's not just Charlotte having baby issues either: after what seems like an eternity of enforced sexual abstinence, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is horrified to discover she's pregnant. And as for the sultry Samantha (Kim Cattrall), she's on a quest for monogamy, first with an exotic lesbian artist then with a philandering businessman, with whom to her utter dismay she just might have fallen in love. --Mark Walker

Review date: 2007-12-28 Rating: 10 out of 10
Every season this show just gets better and better. No matter how many times I watch this the break up with Aiden and the birth of Brady still bring a tear to my eye. No matter how many episodes they cram into a series, I always find myself wanting a few more. Possibly one of the most addictive shows on TV.

Great but not fabulous?Review date: 2007-08-07 Rating: 8 out of 10I love sex and the city.... it has to be one of the best tv programs ever made. I have all the dvd's and I would buy them all again....
However I think that series 4 is probably my least favorite series as it seems to be a bit repetitive i.e. with the whole Carrie and Aidan thing second time around.
So if you are thinking of buying some of the series but not all I would probably wait to buy this one.Gotta Love ItReview date: 2006-07-05 Rating: 10 out of 10
I'm not quite sure how the writers managed to make Carrie more irritating with each series, but they did.
That aside, Sex and the City is probably the best program ever to grace TV screens world-wide, and despite my issues with Carrie, I sort of love to hate her anyway, and Sarah Jessica Parker plays her part excellently in every single episode.
The other 3 girls don't do a bad job either, and the four of them as a collective, along with the genius and hilarious writing, have created an absolute masterpiece of a program that will never be forgotten.
This series doesnt disapoint at any time, it's too good for words really. There is even a cameo from Heidi Klum, in arguably the best episode of the series, 'The Real Me', in which Carrie attempts to become a New York model for the day. Needless to say, it doesn't quite go to plan. This episode however is marred slightly by the abysmal effort at a British accent, performed by 'O' (Alan Cumming) who was actually born in the UK. Confusing as the accent he puts on is laughable.
All this really adds to the humour of Sex and the City. I don't really know what else to say. I won't go into detail about each episode, but if you love Sex in the City, this series is up there with the rest of them.
Long live Sex And The City!
