The Littlest Horse Thieves [1976] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

A lovely film
Review date: 2007-07-26 Rating: 8 out of 10

I've finally found it! Like others I saw this as a child and couldn't remember the title. After a lot of searching (and so worth it) I found the title on another web site. Now all I've got to do is get a copy of the great film. Suitable for all, it tells it as it is, not soppy but realistic. If you ever get a chance to see it/own it, do.

Absolutely lovely
Review date: 2006-05-22 Rating: 10 out of 10

This is such a a lovely film, like others I'd seen it as a child and searched for years under 'Escape from the Dark'. I finally found it in the states and it was just as I remember, so wonderful and engaging. At the age of 25 I still cried. Amazing film!

An excellent film
Review date: 2004-02-21 Rating: 8 out of 10

Known by me throughout my youth as both my favourite film, and by the title "The Pit Ponies", I am glad to have found it under its actual title. This was the first film that made me reflect, and also cry. It is an excellent film, or as far as my rose-tinted childhood spectacles can remember, it is. It is a must-see, especially for any young horse lover, or anyone with an ounce of emotion.
