drama-documentry starring Ali himself
Review date: 2002-03-05 Rating: 6 out of 10

If this film didn't star Ali then it would just be another made for t.v type bi-opic.Pretty dire to own on dvd.As it does have the man himself,it's worth having.Quite interesting to see Ali's acting skills on film. The film covers from when Ali started to box until his famous "Rumble In The Jungle".Although there is not much of his actual fights here,Ali's charisma comes through on screen and his "Lip" is still mega fast!

ALI AS ALWAYS DELIVERS A KNOCKOUT CLASSIC !!!!!!
Review date: 2002-02-28 Rating: 10 out of 10

This movie is a must for all Ali fans, fantastic from begining to end.
With many adaptations and Ali imitators on the scene apearing in lame movies about the champ. Who better to play the role of the worlds greatest hero than the hero himself, Muhammad Ali. The film's events are true and accurate to that of Ali's life, from his Olymic gold triumph in 1960 to the shocking victory over the big ugly bear Sonny Liston, for the heavyweight crown. Also included in this film is an insght of Ali's embracement to the Nation of Islam and his contraversal refusal to be inducted to the U.S. army. This act cost him the most prestigous title in boxing. When Ali returned to the ring after a three year ban and court case, he went on to have the most memorable battles in the history of boxing. Truely making him the greatest of all time.
